Vela

Esteban Powell's vision for a unique story centered on the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead drew me into the beautiful project of Vela. Immersing myself inclassical Mexican music and traditions, and memorizing music sheets of various Latin genres, I crafted a distinctive soundtrack that elevated Vela's narrative. With the studio arrangement at Be Louder, I organized sessions for recording classical guitars used throughout the film. Vela premiered at the Elgin Winter Garden Theatre is now traveling the world, being showcased at events from the Korea International Short Film Festival to the LATAFF Toronto Film Festival. It has also won numerous awards for its exceptional narrative, storytelling, andsoundtrack.
